I'm guessing you mean DSC (dynamic stability control)

The light comes on when there is a fault in the system just like the check engine light, but can not be read by just any scanner as it is the stability control system.

Did you cut/splice or tap into any wires in your install that may have been for that system? What I would do first is go somewhere (dealer or independent with GT1 tester) and have the faults read and analyzed. It may even just be coincidence that the fault occurred after the install, but it may be related. BMW's have some complicated and sophisticated wiring that is very picky. (most things run on shared wires through can-bus signals)
