Does anybody have an idea why you can see your current location but other data will not show up? Bad media, different media another burner? What has worked for other people? TIA |
Weak, tired and old laser.
May be able to read stamped DVDs OK, but not copied DVDs (amount of reflected light is lower on a copied DVD)
Solution:
Use original stamped DVDs until the laser finally fails completely, OR
Replace laser (or entire mechanism) with a new one and then it'll read copied DVDs happily.
