There is no harddrive inside the nav. The map stays on the CD.
If you want a map displayed on the nav, the map CD must be present in the nav computer

Your voice control will be from a ULF, or TCU, or SES module, depending on what is fitted.

Yes, it WILL affect everything else. For the period that the battery is disconnected, the vehicle will have no power - you will not be able to start or drive it :-)

Otherwise no other side affects other than trip computer being reset to 0.

The TV module is located.... under the spare wheel!
But resetting the power also resets the monitor, which is what you want to do. You could also pull loads of fuses, but the battery is easier...
