What CharlieHustleX5 recommended is a good unit, but not a high level converter... That LC6i looks to have multiple sets of high to low conversion channels and adds a remote knob for the sub channel. But if the only sound you are adding with an amp is the sub, you can go with a less expensive setup like a pre-amp remote setup and regular pac high/low converter, but that probably wouldn't have the quality of the LC6i controller.
