Not that I need to install a CD changer but I was looking into an AUX Input and my CD unit (front) does not have the pins for that. The only work around was the CD changer mode. Any thoughts?
Does your X have a Sirris radio installed? If it does, your CD connection may be getting used for the Sirris radio. That's what happened to me.

After trying two different CD changers and not being able to release the CD cartridge, I knew something had to be funky.

The dealer found that the previous owner had installed a Sirris radio using the CD changer connection, which disabled the CD changer. The kicker was, the previous owner had removed the Sirris radio and left no proof of it's existance.

Hope that helps
