From what I can see, you should be able to swap over the oil pan and windage tray etc. The short block is the same, but I believe it may have different cams... not fully sure and can't cross-reference the part #s at this time.

If all you need is the block/crank/rods/pistons, etc. than you should be able to swap over all the peripherals from one engine to the other. (heads, manifold, etc.)

Should I ask what happened to the engine of the X5?
