I suspect what he is wanting to do is to retrofit the option where the headlights come on automatically at dusk. Unfortunately it's more than just retrofitting a switch. To do this you would need to replace the windshield (that's where the sensor is located, as I understand it) and also retrofit the wiring harness and switches.
