Welcome to the xoutpost. I'm fairly new myself but have saved several hundreds of dollars from the info I have found here.
Just this week I replaced a weather beaten windshield trim piece for $20. One BMW source told me I would have to replace the windshield in order to fix it
. It was a piece of cake. I also have an 01 but it is a V8. I'm thinking of doing some engine mods sometime soon. Only 90K. Just about broke in.
