so i dropped the vehicle off yesterday at the dealer, but before doing so i was able to unclog the one clogged left front sun roof drain. I then checked all the drains again with water to verify they were draining properly.
today i was contacted by the dealer and they stated they discovered a leak in a seal in the rear of the sunroof. they said that were unable to detect any leak when they ran the car through the car wash, however with a stronger stream of water they discovered this leak. I asked about water possibly coming through the rear doors, and they mentioned that there were vapor barriers in the doors which could cause leaking, however they were also unable to detect any water coming from the doors.
does this sound normal to anyone? all the reading i have done on the board regarding this issue, never have i read about any seals failing in the rear of the sunroof to cause such a great amount of water leakage...
kishg, the vehicle is still in warranty till next year. so its covered. the rains here in NJ have been unbelievable.
