I guess I just don't see this as more of the same - It seems much more dangerous given the levels it's at.

What is the solution?

We have to stop spending the way we plan to and we will have to raise taxes as much as I hate to say that. Simple to say I know.

The first part of the solution is for the government and the public to admit that we have a national crisis on debt. Until that happens we will never get to the root causes.
