That is different. That is an unlock signal sent by pushing the button. You can do that from 30 ft away. The ignition chip is something different I believe. Just because you unlock the car does not mean the security for the ignition system has been disabled. There may be a short range transmition chip for the ignition as well, that would be the only way keeping the wallet key in the car would make sense.

what i tried to explain was that the key does not need to be in the ignition, meaning that the computer can read the chip while the key is some where close to the computer.
