Ditto with the door-slamming like others noticed, along with the tailgate. I don't know about the X5, but with the X3's one-piece tailgate, everyone treats it like an American car...........they hurl the tailgate down like it weighs 1000kg (it doesn't) and the resulting BANG is enough to shake the chassis and send shivers up my spine

Please......BMW designed it so if you bring it halfway, it self-closes with gravity. They're not idiots like American engineers. Conversely, it takes me 4-5 tries to shut the tailgate of an American car.
