Noddy, never a problem charging/maintaining, with batt installed, that I noticed...
my oe batt went 6 1/2 yrs and I changed it out only to do it on my time, not "its".
The battery well area was nearly pristine, so I detected no problems due to long
"seasonal" charge and, the frequent slow "top up" charges I do.

Just hope you are using a low amp, "trickle/floater" type charger.

Sounds like a good set up.
