so does that mean is has an early 2001 x5 3.0? cuz in 2000 x5's only came in one flavor 4.4, and all v8's come with high clusters. if the grip strip is original, remove it, and check for water ingress. ingress causes high resistance in the circuit, the bulb could be out, but the high resistance could be compensating for the bulb out warning.
