I had a conversation with the parts guy I know at the dealer. He says it doesn't matter what it is. New or used...now there are tons of people wanting to make their cars "unique". He told me just the other day that he has never been busier. He said you would never know the economy sucks in this place.

Modding seems to be a Northeast and California thing. On the most part most people don't start taking down parts on a brand new car they just spent $70K on. The majority of it happens on used cars where the parts are already a little worn/people want a performance boost or updated look as the car is a aged a little.
