Relocated (without
too much headache)! Works good so far.
On relatively short drive, only lost reception under a bridge and briefly under a tree (same spots I lost reception while mounted on the roof). Will have a better opportunity to rest reception over the weekend. Thanks to everyone who's posted great info on this "mod"!!
