The slight leaks in the hoses will not caue the steering feel to change, BMWs are known for steering feel on these models. The 4.6is has a lighter feel, but some people don't like that and would rather the heavier feel. There isn't anything wrong with it and nothing you can really do about it as that is how it's designed.
