Strange I had the same problem with my Titanium drill bits as well, after breaking three of them I used the normal high speed steel bits and they cut straight through like butter.

Titanium is a stronger material but
Copper takes longer and better against overheating. The heat combined with pressure are whats causing titanium to break.
