The Premium sound drivers are I believe still Philips, they are higher power rated but I do not believe they are necessarily any higher speced. You do get the extra speakers but the speakers themselves are no more audiophile quality than the standard sound. The amp is the main difference offering DSP allowing you to compensate for the main weakness - the speakers....
