Just to update the thread... here is the e70 18" Style 210 wheel (8.5 x 18 et 46) on a 4.4 e53. Fit perfectly with hub centric rings and looked great.
So in short all e70 18 wheels should fit the e53's excluding the 4.8 with the bigger brakes. The only 18" wheel that will fit the e53 4.8 is the Style 99 e53 wheel because of the aggressive 40mm offset (18 x 8 et40).
The photo is right after we jacked up the car so it hasn't settled down yet.
