Hi guys, i bought my x5 around 6 months ago and so far it has given me no major grief except for a clunk sound coming from the front when ever i turned the car or went over a bump. My mechanic checked and says its the steering rack and is asking for A$1700 to fix it.
I just wanted to know that if i buy a complete steering rack is it easy a easy do it yourself job? the steering racks costs around $800 to $900.
