FWIW I think the abysmal quality of those old 50's era Chrysler 'automatic' transmissions is why, to this day, we don't have push buttons on the dash. Instead BMW fakes a gear shifter in the E70 that does EXACTLY the same thing but looks so much cooler, and gives you something inanimate to fondle while driving

well you know my friend i have been having a good time playing with the
Beer Tap. what i am finding is, beyond the down shift one must actively apply throttle input. the two factors combined makes for a very quick transition in position on the highway.
i won't say i can out drag race a kid in a Mustang, but if i catch him by suprise i own him. five thousand plus pounds will take a moment to get a hustling.
