They are asking who the driver was. Well it wasnt me, it was my wife! I think! Cant remember what i was doing yesterday let alone a week ago.
Surely am not at any legal obligation to divuldge this infomation to them. Surely the burden of proof should be for them to proove i am guilty of the offence or who the driver was.
I was at work, and work would confirm that at the time of the speeding i was in the office.
Should i be the one that incriminates my wife? surely not! I dont even know she is guilty!
Isnt it " innocent until proved guilty!"

What does the law require?
Find out. Then work within the confines of the law and beat the case. In most cases it's easier than you think. But if someone was driving your vehicle and violated the law they should step up and handle it. That would be the right thing to do.
