So... I can
get this Vespa - brand new for $1K. It retails for about $3,200. I have always loved the Vespa, but my wife thinks I'd look goofy and that they are for kids and people who lose their driver's license. (And, yes, she knows that just about every other European and every Roman has one.)
What do you guys think? I could not use to go back and forth to work -- that requires highway driving, and I would not do that on a Vespa. It'd be basically a toy to drive around to do errands or just to putz around for fun...
In case you're wondering: A friend of mine was offered that deal from AMEX (some kind of rewards program), and he's offered to sell it to me.
So... should I pull the trigger?
