Yes and Yes, better than Sapphire Black.
Sapphire has been there on regular BMWs for a loong time. If you want a ///M car than get a special color too. Ask a hard core ///M driver. Carbon black is original ///M color. E46 ///M3 has the carbon black. Although now Carbon black is offered in other models too, but still special color for M-division.
