I have the same problem. Within few days, lot of rubber tips on my running boards were depressed.
The first picture is what it was before. The second picture highlights the ones that are depressed. The third picture shows the rear side of the aluminum piece, where you can easily see that the rubber tips are out of place.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? I guess everyone who has running boards and have people who actually step on them, would have a similar issue. I don't want to take my car to the dealer every time this happens and I know this would happen frequently since these rubber tips are delicate and do not hold themselves in place very well.
