I'm guessing by the fact that when you say "father" you are in high school or college ? And how do you know all of the financial details of it ? When I was in high school I was just told to go do some yard work if I asked those types of questions . All kidding aside, it really depends on a lot of factors--what he wants to spend, how is he going to use it/his needs, what other cars you have, etc.
