A/C Fan Blower Problem

The problem was a "dying" fan blower unit, which met its final days at about 125000 miles. The Final Stage Resistor did fail just prior, and as I mentioned in my original thread, exhibited symptons of the fan staying on one speed (even after the engine was turned off in my case). Replacing the FSR confirmed this. The fan blower unit was an eight hour job, due to complete dash removal, etc. It probably wouldn't hurt to be diligent about changing your cabin air filter to possibly (and I say possibly) prolong fan blower life! After replacing fan blower unit, noticed a lack of cold air when stopped in traffic. Auxillary fan was the culprit there. As you would guess, A/C works beautifully now.
