CPO isn't as comprehensive as New Car, so you can't lump them as the same.
CPO is 6 years (granted not exact as the factory warranty) or 100K miles from the in-service date. I think we are saying the same thing--basically you are getting some kind of coverage up to 6 years after the service date.
