Doc, I'm not sure if you really want to jump your car through the cigarette lighter. The cigarette lighter is fine for slow charging, but I'm very hesitant to use it for jump starting a car. Pushing several hundred cranking amps through those tiny wires are dangerous...besides that, won't you blow a fuse trying to jump start your car that way (I think the cigarette lighter only has a 40A fuse)? I would skip the cigarette lighter thing and just buy a regular good 4 or 6 gauge jumper cable. As I've mentioned in another thread on the main forum, I had problem jump starting my car, even with a 10-gauge jumper cable. Those wires on the cigarette lighter thingy definitely looked smaller than 10-gauge.
