There are alot of replies and forgive for not reading all of them and if a repeat somethin... BUT since having my x5 4.4 i have had the susp inac warning around 5 times and every dealer who has checked says its fine, I can feel and see its fine. One of the master bmw service guys told me it is to do with the system checking everything upon startup and sometimes there is a delay between them causing the checker(don't know lingo here) to think that the susp isn't activated when it hasn't given it a chance. He reprogrammed the boot up sequence and i have not had the issue since. This reconfiguration does not mean that the sensor for the suspension is disabled it works fine.
