Did you have the transmision module reprogrammed? Any difference? And the module is decently expensive... you can get it pre-programmed from realoem for just over $1300, but it would still need to be encoded to your X5 to get the right vin# etc in it.

But I would not go that route until you have had dealer diagnosis in case they come up with anything else... Just tell them what all has been done to this point.
