If you're going to be cracking open the system (e.g., replacing lines or installing new calipers) then get two liters. If it's just a maintenance bleed, then a single 1 liter can will suffice.

For the best results, avoid pressure bleeding or vacuum bleeding. Instead, follow the "performance" bleed instructions here: Bleeding Brakes, which will yield the firmest possible pedal.
