Pump the car up, take a spray bottle of thin soapy water spray all over the air bladder of the strut. Watch for tiny bubbles. I had to replace the two front ones on mine. I have the same transmission problem, plus some slipping in 3rd. The dealer so far isnt much help because they cant "reproduce" it. It only happends in 5th gear, at low speed, usually between 20 and 40mph. My thinking is that it is in 5th geatr and its trying to downshift into 4th, but halfway through, it changes its mind. Dont know why they cant reproduce it. It only happends all the time when anybody in my family drives it.
