FWIW I have no issue with the PDC
display being always on; its the loud
gong that drove me crazy during our extended test drive. But then ALL of the E70 gong sounds are both too loud and too persistent for my taste. For example, the seat belt gong that persists even when the X5 is in park, with the parking brake set - DUH.
