I know there's no time limit on a murder prosecution, but what about this? I would imagine it's run out

Or does the fact that he is a fugitive on an admitted "Guilty" plea sort of "freeze" the clock from a legal standpoint?

Other than the legal curiosity, I really do not feel strongly about this case either way. Although I do think it's funny how the French seem to think that artistic brilliance excuses everything. It's OK to rape and kill as long as you can paint pretty pictures or direct movies. Vive la France!
