The faster you get ride of the water the safer it is for the material it has effected. You should do it ASAP. Try to leave all the heat on in the car, see if that helps a bit. As far as the smell is concerned, All you need to do is put Line Runner or some Black Ice air fresheners throughout the car. Put one under the rear view mirror, two of the on each side of the back seats where the hand holders are on the top, after a while the scent will go away...
