+1 for House of Nanking.

Slanted door is too shi shi now (really liked it back at the old location) but if your group is in the mood for trendy fusion food, can't go wrong there.

One place that I can recommend is the R&G Lounge: Chinese Restaurant - SF - R and G Lounge

(nothing fancy but locals get downstairs seating, tourists sit upstairs --same food)

Try the salt and pepper crab.
