This weekend I am replacing idler pulleys, water pump, thermostat, maybe the belts fun, fun, fun!!!
Did you know that psychiatrists charge 250/hr. BMW mechanics charge around $100... I don;t even know what my point is supposed to be.

Please don't compare a $10K car to a new $60K car. No comparison. He should by another $10K car before sinking $5K into anything with 135K miles. If his X would be worth $10K with repairs, then he should trade off the broken model for a running model with less mileage!
Get a different X!
