Edit: after checking back on how our 2009 35d build went...
'In the case of X5's etc. manufactured at the BMW SC Factory the "Prep Center" is on the premises. So as I suggested earlier, any BMW produced at the SC factory which is headed to a dealer in the continental US will skip #2 and #3 status' (Awaiting Transport and En Route) that cover the progress during longer trans-Atlantic shipments.'

I think we need a FAQ that shows the order of all build stages and codes (USA and International)...
I read a thread on this site that regarding deliveries to Canada - ~20 days until it's actually ready for pickup at the dealership...
