Be careful on extended warranties. For example, I've purchased several the last few years. If they say it's a 4/75, they are referring to four years and 75,000 TOTAL miles in addition to what's currently on the odometer. So, if you have 44K, you can run up an additional 31K. Period. Youalso will need to have 1 month and 1,000 miles left on the factory warranty OR you pay a penalty. However, there are warranties tha don't play these games and will offer a true 4/75. You need to really read the fine print.
On my 05 M3C, I purchased a 6/100 for $3001. At that time, I had ~45K and the vehicle was only 3 years old. So, for $3001, I got a warranty that was really for 3 years and 55K.
