Well the performance center delivery experience was all that I wanted it to be and more. Points all around to the PCD staff for a great day. Unfortunately, during the drive back to Columbia SC, the car shut itself down on the interstate and would not restart. Engine malfunction--reduced
power as IDRIVE put it. So we were on the SOS with BMW roadside assistance for 30 minutes, waited for a tow for 1.5 hrs and finally got it towed to the dealer late last night.
It was a good thing Donnie showed me how to disengage the transmission manually into neutral and use the tow insert. So with only 71 miles on the odometer my car is in the shop. I'm hoping it's something simple like a sensor or something. Will have to wait and see as they are diagnosing it today.
