Well, not much better... I will elaborate a little more. Plasma's are more accurate in color reproduction, black levels and have better viewing angles than LCD. The fact that they can display standard def material better than even the newest LED LCD's should tell you something about the picture quality capability of plasma's. And don't let those outrageous DYNAMIC contrast ratios the LCD manufacturers like to tout fool you. There is a natural maximum limit to the human eye's contrast resolution of about 300:1.
