There are 2 different iPod configurations that BMW offers. One is called iPod your BMW which is not compatable with any car with optional built-in Navigation system. The other is what is called Aux input. The Aux input does not connect to the CD changer. The following link show how the Aux input is installed.http://www.xoutpost.com/showarticle-218.html The installation you have I have not heard of unless it's an Icelink install. You also said that your installer said the iPod connects into the cd changer input. If thats the case then how can you switch between the CD and the iPod if the iPod is connected where the CD Changer goes. Something is not right. Please provide a complete description of your vehicle. Year, weather you have Navigation system, a cd changer ect ect.
