Took the X in at lunch. After an hour they determine the cause is a bad fuel pump. Got a loaner 3 series until Wednesday. At 4500 miles, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

BMW has had a lot of fuel pump problems lately, particularly on the new twin turbo engines.
Maybe they need to look for a new supplier.
