When Sobi came over and I did his angel eye installation, I also gave it a quick detail.
Degreaser or silicone tire spray is great at removing wax residue. Be it for the tires or the thin/thick areas of the black trim, I always use a 2" medium bristle brush and spray the silicone on the tip of the brush. This keeps down splattering from the tires, and using slow brushing techniques it keeps the silicone off the paint, around the wheel wells especially. Back to Black would work better then since the silicone has removed all the wax. Trust me, it works great and silicone is a lot less elbow work than doing the Back to Black stuff.
