First off, would that even help?

I was reading the reviews of the new backup camera in the M forum. It seems that it has improved quite a bit. It's even usable in low light conditions.

I'm hoping that it's simply a better quality camera in the back and that buying the new camera and swapping it out with the old one would yield the new clarity gains.

Can anyone confirm this?
