The only time that I feel like I need more than my 3.0i in real life (for my situation) is when I am on this board. As soon as I log off of this board, my 3.0 has more than enough power for my daily routines.

I would not lose $9k on my 3.0 to replace it with a 4.4i. Frankly, even if they paid me enough to bring my 3.0 losses to zero, I still can't justify paying $4-5k more for a 4.4 of similar year/mileage/condition (again, for my usage purposes). Every time I think about upgrading to a 4.4, I remind myself that I can spend that extra $4-5k on ALL future repairs and maintenance that my current car may need in coming years.
