Take it slow and follow the instructions in the manual.. I forced it a bit and it was about the 4th time I had taken it off... If they do break off you can still clip it on... just remember there are two long "prongs" at the front of the trim piece near the windscreen.....these are the ones I broke off they fit into the holes that you push the clips backward to remove the switch cluster...
