I would say that yes, it's worth the extra money.
The X5 is the best vehicle I have ever driving. I can have myself, four friends, all our school books and backpacks and laptops, and on top of that some deliveries (food, school supplies and what not) for Katrina Victims and still be able to get to anywhere within 300 miles in twenty minutes or less.
